Hemorrhoid?

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

I do have an external hemorrhoid because I had a doctor examine me, and It never used to bleed really ever. Now these past 3 months I’d say I’ve bled about 11 times or so. It is bright red blood nothing bad looking or anything like that. It just seems I’m starting to bleed more frequently than usual. Once during this 3 month period I went for almost 30 days without any problems whatsoever. Now it seems like its acting up, and its never a lot of blood at all, a few drops, and some blood on the toilet paper. Anyone else experience anything like this with your bleeding hemorrhoid?
**3 Months ago I did have a doctor examine me and confirm I had an external Hemorrhoid.**

The Hemorrhoids Cures That Work Quickly

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Hemorrhoids are becoming a more frequent condition that over 4% of Americans will experience one or more times in their lifetime. Thankfully , there are lots of hemorrhoid cures that have been proven useful in treating the issue.

Discovering the one which will work for you may be based totally on how dreadful your condition is, and is vital to get a method to alleviate your discomfort. These systems range from medicines to natural hemorrhoids cures.

There are a variety of ointments and creams readily available on the market to relieve you of your piles. Many of these you can get over the counter at your local chemist, or if you visit a doctor, you may receive a prescription for a topical medication. Anti-inflammatory muscle relaxers could also be taken to alleviate the pain from the piles. These drugs can be effective as a non permanent fix to the discomfort, swelling, and irritation associated with piles.

Since medicines have short term effects, they do not make for efficient hemorrhoids cures. They have to be used in association with some natural remedies for them to have the most effect.

The cause for hemorrhoids is straining during bowel movements. This will weaken the anal walls, making them become inflamed. Learning how to forestall this irritation can significantly reduce the chances of your hemorrhoids recurring.

Eating heaps of fiber is the most natural hemorrhoids cure to lessen the problem. Fiber allows the gut to function better, creating more regular bowel movements and decreasing constipation. This could ease the straining experienced, as well as the time you sit on the toilet every day ( which can also lead to piles ).

Fiber can be taken as a supplement, but it is best to get it naturally by eating fresh fruits, vegetables, and beans. Many cereals are also improved with fiber. The recommended daily allowance of fiber is 25-30. Drinking increased amounts of water when increasing your fiber intake will make it better in cleaning out your system.

If you are presently working with hemorrhoids, take a warm bath each night. Be careful not to sit fully on your bottom, as this may place too much force on the affected area.

Posture is also crucial if you sit long amounts of time during the day. During the day get up and walk around as often as you are able to avoid further irritating the rectum.

While hemorrhoids aren’t an agreeable experience, they are easy to treat if you know how to do it correctly. Using medicines together with natural methods are the best way to get rid of hemorrhoids, as they can be more effective in reducing the agony and pain when paired together. Also, it’s critical to exploit strategies to prevent the piles from returning, so you never have to deal with them again.

The How To Care For Your Body During Pregnancy .

Friday, August 21st, 2009

Being pregnant means following a healthy lifestyle is more important than ever. It’s crucial to understand what steps you can take to keep you and your baby in good health.

Prenatal care is one of the vital factors that ensure a smooth pregnancy. The first checkup should occur during the first 6 to 8 weeks of your pregnancy, when your menstrual period is approximately 2 to 4 weeks late. For women who are relatively healthy and have no complicating risk factors, you will probably see your health care provider every 4 weeks until the 28th week of pregnancy, and then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks of pregnancy. After that you will have an appointment every week until you give birth through inducing labor or otherwise.

Nutrition

Proper nutrition is one of the best ways to enjoy a happy pregnancy. Because you’re eating for two, it’s doubly important to consume healthy foods and stay away from things that may harm your baby as it develops. When you’re pregnant, dieting and cutting calories is not a good thing – you will need to take in about 300 more calories a day to ensure you and your baby are properly nourished, especially as your pregnancy progresses. Caloric intake, however, can vary from woman to woman. For thin women, and women carrying twins, you may be required to consume more than 300 extra calories. Or, if you are currently verweight you might need less. No matter what, you’ll need to contact your healthcare provider to determine what’s best for you.

Of course, pure calorie consumption is not the only goal – you need to make sure that what you eat is nutritionally sound. Nutritious foods contain the essential vitamins and minerals that contribute to a baby’s growth and development.

Although a healthy diet is fundamental to caring for your body during pregnancy, it’s actually quite simple to integrate healthy living into your daily life. Maintain a well-balanced diet by following basic dietary guidelines. Lean meats, fruit, vegetables, whole grain breads and low-fat dairy products are all essential to maintaining good health.

Real, healthy food will provide your body with much-needed nutrients. At the same time, during pregnancy certain essential nutrients are required in higher-than-normal amounts. For example, calcium, iron, and folic acid are especially essential in the diet of a pregnant woman. Although your doctor may prescribe vitamin supplements, your diet still needs to contain nutritious food to provide your body with most of its nourishment.

On a normal basis, women need 1,000 mg of calcium per day, but during pregnancy, calcium consumption should rise in order to keep up with calcium loss in your bones. You can get calcium from a wide range of food products, including low-fat dairy products such as milk, cheese, and yogurt; orange juice, soy milk, and cereals that are fortified with calcium; dark green veggies such as spinach, kale, and broccoli; as well as tofu, dried beans, and almonds.

A pregnant woman requires 27 to 30 mg of iron per day because iron is used by the body to make hemoglobin, which is what helps red blood cells carry oxygen throughout the body. A lack of iron leads to a dearth of red blood cells, meaning the body’s tissues and organs don’t receive enough oxygen. With a baby on board, women need to pay extra attention to their iron intake.

Iron is found in both plant and animal matter, but the body absorbs it more easily from meat sources. The following are some foods that contain a good amount of iron: red meat, dark poultry, salmon, eggs, tofu, enriched grains, dried beans and peas, dried fruit, leafy green vegetables, blackstrap molasses, and iron-fortified breakfast cereals.

Many people have already heard about how important folate (folic acid) is for a pregnant woman. For pregnant woman, or those planning on becoming pregnant, it is recommended that you take 0.4 milligrams of folic acid every day. Many women choose to supplement their diet with vitamins in addition to any folic acid intake they receive from food.

It has been found that consuming folic acid 1 month before and during the first 3 months of pregnancy reduces the risk of neural tube defects by 70%, which is why it’s considered so critical. The neural tube is formed during the first 28 days of pregnancy, which is usually before a woman even realizes she’s pregnant, and it eventually develops into the baby’s brain and spinal cord. Lack of sufficient nutrition, particularly a lack of folic acid, may result in a neural tube defect such as spina bifida.

To remain healthy while pregnant, it’s also key to drink plenty of fluids. During pregnancy your blood volume increases, so drinking plenty of water is the best way to avoid dehydration and constipation.

Exercise is a great way to feel great throughout an entire pregnancy. There’s no reason to stop physical activity once you become pregnant; in fact, dietary guidelines suggest that you take 30 minutes or more each day to work out at a moderate pace.

During pregnancy, regular exercise prevents excessive weight gain, reduces problems such as back pain, swelling, and constipation, improves sleep, increases energy, promotes a positive attitude, prepares your body for labor and lessens recovery time after labor.

Proper sleep is another factor in maintaining health and comfort during pregnancy. Pregnancy can take its toll, and after a long day you will feel more tired than usual. As the baby grows bigger, it will be more difficult to sleep, but try to sleep as best you can – it will do wonders for how you feel!

Once you are ready to give birth and are considering inducing labor it is wise to consider all the advantages and disadvantages.
Indeed, several authorities recommend you give informed consent before labor is induced. Of course, the baby is an important concern when considering induction of labor, especially the baby’s ability to breathe once delivered.

Following a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, exercising, and drinking plenty of fluids are all important to your overall well-being during pregnancy. If you strive to eat nutritious food and maintain a positive attitude during the course of your pregnancy, the good moments will definitely outshine the difficult ones. Using Witch Hazel For Hemorrhoids

Friday, August 21st, 2009

So stop blushing, sit yourself down on a snug pillow, and read what the pros say about this frequent problem. Try for soft and straightforward bowel movements. The most efficient technique against hemorrhoids is to go right to the source of the problem. More frequently than not, on top of each rear end with piles sits an individual grunting and moaning. If it is reports to you that passing one’s stools isn’t meant to be a long and strenuous affair, you have likely got piles. Huffing and puffing on the loo provides just the sort of strain required to engorge and swell the veins in your anus.

Hard stools then complicate matters by scraping the already uneasy area. Solution? Drink a lot of liquids, eat heaps of fiber, and refer frequently to the following cures. Oil your internal workings. Once you’ve increased the fiber and liquids in your diet, your stool should become softer and pass with less effort. You’ll help your bowels to move even smoother by lubricating your back passage with a dab of petrol jelly, asserts Edmund Leff, M.D, a colon and anal surgeon in personal practice in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona. Employing a cotton swab or your finger, apply the jelly about half in. into the lower colon. Clean yourself kindly. Your obligation to your piles shouldn’t end when you are thru moving your guts. It is extremely crucial to clean yourself correctly and carefully, asserts John O.

Lawder, M.D, a family specialist focusing on preventative drugs and nutrition in Torrance, California. Toilet roll can be scratchy, and some types contain chemical irritants. Purchase only nonperfumed, noncolored ( white ) toilet paper, and moisten it under the tap before each wipe. Elect a more kind, gentler toilet tissue. If you have never heard about lubricated toilet tissue, that is due to the fact that it’s not sold yet.

But you will find facial tissues lined with moisturizing creamand these, says Dr. Lawder, offer the most hemorrhoid-friendly backside wipe on the market. Don’t scratch. Haemorrhoids can itch, and scratching can make them feel better. But do not capitulate to the desire to scrape.

“You can inflict damage on the walls of these fragile veins,” and make matters far worse for yourself, says Dr. Lawder. Don’t lift any pianos today.

Heavy lifting and tiring exercise can act very like straining on the john, claims Dr. Leff. If you are subject to haemorrhoids, get a pal to help or hire somebody to help move that piano or dresser. Go soak yourself. The sitz bathsitting with your knees raised in three or 4 inches of warm water in a bathtubis a cure that still tops the list of most pros as a way to address piles. The warm water helps to exterminate the agony while inflating the flow of blood to the area, which can help shrink the swollen veins, asserts J. Byron Gathright, Jr, M.D, manager of the Office of Colon and Colonic Surgery at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana, and an associate professor of surgery at Tulane College . Apply a pile medicine.

There are lots of pile creams and suppositories on the market, and while they often won’t make your problem vanish ( in contrast to what the adverts may say ), the majority are designed as local painkillers and can relieve some of the pain, claims Dr. Gathright. Select a cream. Select a pile cream over a suppository any day, claims Dr. Leff. Suppositories are “absolutely useless,” for external piles, and even for internal haemorrhoids, suppositories have a tendency to float too far up the lower colon to do much good, he asserts. Do miracles with witch hazel. A dab of witch hazel applied to the lower colon with a cotton ball is one of the best cures available for external hemorrhoids, particularly if there’s bleeding, claims Marvin Schuster, M.D, boss of the Dept of Digestive Sicknesses at Francis Scott Key Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, and a professor of drugs and psychoanalysis at the Johns Hopkins School College of Drugs . “Barbers use witch hazel when they cut youbecause it causes the blood vessels to shrink down and contract,” he is saying. While anything cold, even water, can help kill the agony of haemorrhoids, give your haemorrhoids a unusual treat by putting a bottle of witch hazel into a bucket of ice, just as you would a champers bottle. Then take a cotton ball, soak it in the witch hazel and use it against your piles till it’s no longer cold, then repeat, commends Dr. Schuster. Watch your weight. Because they have more stress on the lower extremities, large people have a tendency to have more issues with piles just as they do with varicose veins, explains Dr. Lawder.

Untold Story About Pregnancy Facts .

Friday, August 21st, 2009

The first 0-12 weeks of a woman’s pregnancy is called the first trimester. It is during this period that a woman’s body experiences drastic changes during pregnancy. Discomforts and others may or may not be experienced by a pregnant woman during this time, to help you cope with it here are a list of the most common changes and discomforts and how to effectively deal with them.

Morning sickness and Nausea

The stretching of the uterine muscles and the pressure on the digestive tract due to the baby growing can cause increased stomach acids, the body reacts to this increase by releasing it through vomiting. As such, a woman’s sense of smell is on hyperdrive during pregnancy; this can also increase irritability as well as the probability of vomiting.

Rejoice, for this doesn’t stay for the whole nine months. Usually the vomiting stops after the third month. And do not worry the vomiting doesn’t hurt the baby.

To help with morning sickness, try not too eat large meals instead eat small frequent meals so that the stomach doesn’t get “shocked.” Also, studies show that a diet abundant in complex carbohydrates, like bread and other starchy food, and proteins can help alleviate morning sickness. Also avoid eating fatty food.

Breast swelling

The body, in its preparation for the arrival of the baby, releases progesterone and estrogen in higher levels than usual. These hormones sends a message to the breast to produce more milk, this is in preparation for feeding the baby when it comes out.

The areolas will most likely enlarge and darken. Later on you may notice that these areas start to have white bumps. There may also be increased sensitivity in the breast area and you may also see blue lines along your breasts. These blue lines are only your blood vessels working hard to supply blood to your breasts.

Swelling may increase during the latter period of pregnancy; in this case one must use a good support bra of the right size.

Shortness of Breath and fatigue

Pregnancy can cause fatigue and other emotional changes in a woman. You should know that even while you sleep, your body is feeding another living being. During pregnancy, you body needs more rest. Fatigue is normal, and should go away after the body gets used to it.

To prevent yourself from being more irritable than you are and more tired, try to get as much sleep as you can in the night. The ideal length of sleep for an adult is eight hours, try to get this much every night.

A proper diet also helps with fatigue after all you’re already feeding two people. One other reason for the fatigue may be the lack of vitamins and nutrients for the both of you. Take the vitamins that your doctor recommends and make sure you eat lots of nutrient-rich foods.

Exercise is also a big help. It doesn’t have to b hard exercise, a light jog a slow walk can in sense practice your body for the extra work it does. But remember, a balance of exercise and rest is needed too much exercise or too much rest can also increase fatigue.

Irritability and mood changes

Because of the increased presence of hormones, mood swings are uncommon, this happens to women monthly during pre-menstrual syndrome.

Lightheadedness

During pregnancy the heart is pumping harder to provide extra blood to the legs and the uterus, as such a woman may experience dizziness due to the lack of blood flow into the brain. Low blood sugar levels can also contribute to dizziness. The best thing to do in this case is to make sure that you eat protein rich food and frequent smaller meals.

Urination Frequency

The rapid growth of the uterus presses the other internal organs away, this includes the bladder. Usually the frequency decreases when the uterus settles into the abdominal cavity. It may return on the third trimester when the uterus drops back down to prepare for birth.

Try leaning forward while urinating. This is to make sure that you empty your bladder completely and can help in decreasing the urinating frequency.

These are the more common discomforts during pregnancy, others like varicose veins, cravings and heartburn are all normal. Being prepared early can help a lot during pregnancy. Be sure to have regular check-ups with your doctor as well as a proper diet, vitamins and exercise. Health Problems Due to a Poor Diet and Easy Ways to Get Healthy

Friday, August 21st, 2009

Over the years, the quality of the food we eat has steadily gone down hill. Our lifestyles have gotten extremely busy which means we have less time to shop for good food and cook healthy meals. To help us get by, thousands of fast food restaurants have popped up everywhere to make sure we can get a meal whenever we want, but it usually isn’t a healthy meal. Even when we take the time to buy healthy food, we get vegetables that have been soaked in pesticides and grown in soil that has been depleted of most of its natural nutrients because of over farming.

It is easy to see the health problems that are caused by our poor diets. Problems like obesity and heart disease are on the rise and it is pretty openly accepted that our diets have played a part in this. However, there are other problems like hemorrhoids, diabetes, and even allergies which can be caused by poor diets.

One of the best things you can do to get healthy and avoid the health problems we just talked about is to eat more vegetables and stop eating sugary, processed foods. There is a lot of research that shows you can help a lot of health problems including getting rid of hemorrhoids just by changing your diet. One way to get a lot of healthy nutrients is to take green supplement like Inner Light Super Greens which contains lots of green vegetables and grasses which are super healthy.

Another way you can improve your diet is to take nutritional supplements. It is virtually impossible to get all the nutrients you need just from your food so you really should take some sort of supplement even if it is only a multi-vitamin. Some important things to add to your diet include antioxidants, omega fatty acids, and dietary fiber.

Now if you really want to get healthy, you should do some exercise. You don’t have to go to the gym every day for hours, just make sure you get some physically exercise. You can go for a walk in the evening or better yet go jogging. You should also do some ab exercises to make sure you have a strong midsection as that will help you avoid back problems.

For the record, I am not a physician and have never had any formal medical training. I present this article for informational purposes only from my own personal research and experiences. You should check with your doctor before starting any new health and fitness program. You should also pay attention to your body whenever you start something new and keep an eye out for side effects or allergies. I wish you luck on your efforts to improve your health and fitness!

Untold Story About Pregnancy And What To Expect .

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

There are no two pregnancies that are alike so, while it is difficult to say exactly how each will progress, there are certain factors that are common among all women going through pregnancy. Quite often, early symptoms of pregnancy will appear and prompt the soon-to-be mom to purchase a home pregnancy test. These can be found at virtually every retail and/or grocery store. It is important to remember that pregnancy tests, while designed to be accurate, are sometimes wrong. Regardless of the result, it is recommended that women experiencing pregnancy symptoms should schedule an appointment with a health care professional who will accurately test for pregnancy.

Among the pregnancy symptoms that most women experience are heightened sensitivity to certain smells and/or food, exhaustion, recurring morning sickness and mood swings. During the entire pregnancy, it is very important that the woman participate in a healthy lifestyle. Among other things, this would include not smoking or being near secondhand smoke, avoid drinking alcohol, etc. In addition, the mom-to-be should drink plenty of milk and eat healthy foods. This will help to promote good development for the child and will be a healthy start for him/her.

Once a woman is confirmed with pregnancy, the next step is shopping for maternity clothes. There is generally a maternity section of every store, but many women simply wear oversized shirts and comfortable elastic waist pants. Preparing for a new baby will include shopping for nursery items, including a rocking chair, bassinet, baby blankets, clothes and toys. If there are plans to convert any room in the house into a nursery, it’s best to start early. It’s also very important that the mom-to-be not be near any paint or harmful products that may cause her, or her unborn child, any problems.

During the nine months of pregnancy, women will go through a lot of changes – both physically and mentally. Mood swings will become more intense and there may be frequent trips to the bathroom as the pregnancy progresses and the growing child begins to press more heavily on the bladder. After the baby is born, the woman will likely have a desire to lose her pregnancy weight. Immediately following birth, it may be a good idea to rest before starting on any exercise program. A licensed medical doctor will be able to prescribe a timeline for such things as physical activity, which will greatly be determined by the mom’s overall health.

This article is to be used for informational purposes only. It is not designed to be used in conjunction with, or in place of, professional medical advice. Any woman who believes she may be experiencing pregnancy symptoms, or has reason to believe that she may be pregnant, should consult a licensed medical physician for proper testing and determination. How to Get Rid Of Hemorrhoids Easily

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Piles are distended veins that are found in the colon or anus. The swelling is a consequence of strain during bowel movement. Pregnancy, chronic bowel problems and gut rot also cause an increased pressure in the anus leading to haemorrhoids.

There are 2 kinds of piles, external and internal. External hemorrhoids like its name sake means the haemorrhoid is found outside of the anus.

It feels like a tiny pile that is delicate to touch. An external haemorrhoid is generally itchy and aggravating. It’s also a load more unpleasant than internal piles. Internal piles customarily don’t hurt and they definitely don’t hurt as much as an external haemorrhoid even if it does. They are found within your anus itself and may occasionally bleed.

Due to this you can infrequently see blood on your toilet roll or in your toilet bowl after bowel movement.

The most typical sign of haemorrhoids is blood on toilet tissue or in the loo bowl after bowel movement. External haemorrhoids are also perceived simply because the main symptoms are irritation round the anus as well as distressing swelling. There might also be delicate lumps round the anus area. An peculiar itch within your anal sphincter is also an indication of internal piles. Having the right diet is the best prevention system for piles. Drinking plenty of water helps soften the stool therefore easing strain during bowel movement. Eating plenty of processed food is also unhealthy.

Instead, to stop piles, add some fiber to your diet. Foods like bran, fruit and veg ( simply to name a couple ) will help your opportunities to avoid piles. Reading in the john is a disgusting habit because sitting on your toilet for a considerable time could cause straining. Due to this, try to get the ‘job’ done inside five mins without reading. If you’ve a job that needs you to sit for long amounts of time, make an effort to get up and walk around for five mins each hour. Both are efficient and the best treatment for you relies on the character of your haemorrhoid.

Natural home pile treatments are used to scale back the swelling of the pile but just as importantly to ease some of the discomfort due to the pile. Natural haemorrhoid treatments are. Sitz washes involve sitting in a tub of warm water for ten mins a couple of times a day is a great hemorrhoid treatment to treat both the swelling and the discomfort. Ice packs may also be used to numb the area as well as reduce hemorrhoid swelling. Trying a cream that contains witch hazel ( a natural acid ) can help ease the irritation round the area. Haemorrhoid surgery are only used for extraordinary cases where with the pile continues, it is too distressing or when there are multiple haemorrhoids. Elastic band ligation is a commonly found type of haemorrhoid treatment as it is comparatively uncomplicated.

Essentially an elastic tie is placed round the base of the pile within the lower colon.

This can cut off the flow of blood to the haemorrhoid leading it to wither away in some days. Infrared Coagulations is a type of haemorrhoids surgery that is used on smaller hemorrhoids. This sort of hemorrhoid treatment may be employed on external or internal piles. This process involves the use of infrared light to burn off the haemorrhoids.

Sclerotheray, often referred to as injection therapy is another kind of surgery used on haemorrhoids. In this form of treatment is employed for curing little internal haemorrhoids. A toughening agent is injected into the piles causing a loss of circulation that may then result in the haemorrhoid shriveling.
