Which Piles Treatment Provides A Permanent Cure?

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

Having a piles treatment that provides permanent relief is what all persistent sufferers of hemorrhoids crave. Many people believe piles, also known as hemorrhoids, an embarrassment to talk with their practitioner about and decide to treat their problem with ‘over-the-counter’ treatments or creams.

The first point that needs to be made here is that your doctor should always be consulted, regardless of how embarrassing. The condition of piles is very easy to self-diagnose but it is always best to get an opinion from your practitioner to any other, potentially worse, underlying issues.

The second thing worth mentioning is that there is nothing wrong with using over-the-counter medications. They are very effective at providing immediate relief from the complaint of piles; however, the results of the use of these treatments are, almost always, temporary and normally it is not long before the large number of people begin to suffer once more and are forced into repeating the application of these creams.

The vast majority of hemorrhoid treatments that can be purchased at your local pharmacy are very simple to use but can often result in embarrassing issues like suffering from a sudden leakage and, because most of these medications are oil based, there is also the chance of oil staining in certain areas of clothing where you would rather not have noticeable stains! Both of these problems are easily stopped by using absorbent padding which provides good protection against this problem, but for many individuals, specifically men, it is as embarrassing as the problem itself!

For anyone who has had, or who suffer regularly with piles you have my sympathy. Hemorrhoids are uncomfortable and painful and can have a big impact on your everyday life and how you live it and that’s why most people are miserable and will do anything to find a permanent fix, rather than making do with the quick relief provided by their local pharmacy.

There have been surgical procedures around for a long time that offer an effective and permanent (in a lot of cases) solution to piles and these are hemorrhoid banding and laser treatments, it should be stressed however that using surgery should always be considered the last resort and used only when all else has failed.

‘Banding” is the most commonly used of the two procedures and involves a rubber band being placed at the base of each hemorrhoid which will cut off the circulation and this results in the pile falling off in about 1 or 2 weeks. Banding causes extreme discomfort and is very painful, but it will rid you of piles! Laser treatment is much less painful but is a great deal more expensive type of piles treatment but it will provide a permanent cure to piles.

There are also natural piles treatments that are proven to provide a permanent cure which are far less intrusive than surgical procedures and that don’t require you to continually purchase treatments, the cost of which will soon add up.

Learn more about this natural piles treatment here and your pain and discomfort will finally be a thing of the past!

The Risks Of Held Up Medical Treatment

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

It is crucial to seek an immediate medical treatment, when you are having an unusual health condition, especially if it is a severe disorder. But, sometimes, even if you get the timely medical attention, you can still be under the risk of delayed treatment due to the doctors’ failure. This can cause you becoming even sicker or even lose your ability to respond to the needed treatment for your disease.

But, on the other hand, there is a difference and a very thin line between a delayed treatment and looking for a second opinion. Sometimes, people get misdiagnosed and even if they receive an immediate treatment, it can still be dangerous. So, if you get diagnosed with a severe health condition, you should think of taking your time and getting a second opinion, instead of rushing to get treatment, when you are not 100% sure. And as soon as you are confident about your diagnosis, you should get the immediate treatment. Doctors go through years of studying and practicing so that they could identify illnesses correctly and prescribe the proper treatments for them. This is crucial because there are many powerful treatments like antibiotics or chemotherapy that could harm you even when they are targeted to the source of the problem.

So, you can get delayed treatment in case your doctor fails to identify your disorder or if a medical facility won’t take you. You can lose precious time in receiving the needed treatment. It is also important to get the right diagnosis in the emergency room, so the nurses should correctly locate your injuries and identify whether you really need an emergency treatment. You also lose time, in case you are sent to the wrong medical unit.

If you are having just a mild cold, delayed treatment might not be too serious. As these illnesses are typically caused by viruses that can’t be treated with medicine. But, there are serious injuries or illnesses that require immediate medical attention, such as in treatment of brain trauma or stroke, when even a few hours delay can lead to serious and permanent health problems. In case of brain trauma cause by hitting your head, your doctor should inspect the swelling and assign medication if needed or even perform a surgery in order to prevent the blood gathering in the skull and pressuring the brain. If the surgery is not performed on time and the blood has been pressuring the brain for too long, it might lead to killing off some brain tissue areas and cause permanent brain damage. This is why delayed treatment can be so dangerous. So, make sure you entrust your health to a good and experienced doctor and pay attention to all processes in your body. If you notice an unusual condition, make sure you visit your doctor immediately.

Bad Habits Treatment For Improving One’s Life

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

Alcohol and drug addiction is one of the biggest problems nowadays. The usage of drugs and alcohol is spreading like wildfire and more and more people all over the world are suffering from this problem. For many people it has become a style or way of life to consume alcohol and drugs. Others are influenced by peer pressure, but most of them are getting into the habit of drinking and doing drugs just for the fun of it. Some people also consider that these habits will help them forget about some problems in their life or forget about their physical or mental pain. Unfortunately, consuming alcohol helps some of us feel powerful and forget about many failures in life.

The increase in the use of drugs and alcohol can be explained in various ways. One of the main reasons is the growing pressure, whether it is in personal or professionals aspects of life. The present world has become very competitive involving everything that is important for society such as work, money, education, love, marriage, success etc. This puts more pressure on us and some individuals find it hard to handle. So, people start looking for something that will help them get rid of misery and depression. The only way out they see is taking drugs and drinking. And, eventually, they cannot live without this addiction anymore.

People, who would like to make their life better and get rid of this addiction, look for help in various alcohol and drug treatment centers, which will help them to recover. This is probably the most constructive way to define and address the problem the person is having.

Before registering for the treatment, the person should be provided with all the necessary information about what kind of treatments are offered in the center and what the requirements are. There are centers that focus on one or few points, while others provide a wide range of treatments.

Drug and alcohol treatment typically involves personal treatment plans, counseling therapy, relapse prevention and an essential after care plan. Specialists concentrate on the life of every person, before they could start any kind of treatment or counseling. The key to solving the addiction problem is the understanding of its cause. So, friends and family are also involved in the process of identifying the causes for addiction. Only then, the treatment plan is created. The seriousness of the situation will define the number of days required for the whole treatment program. Sufficient therapies are also important during the treatment. The temptation for the same habits is very strong and it is important to educate the addict on all the habit effects and make sure that the person will not end up in the rehab center again after a short time of being discharged.

Differences In Prolapsed Hemorrhoids – A Summary

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

There are four different phases for prolapsed hemorrhoids. The first stage is when the hemorrhoid has not prolapsed. The next stage is when the hemorrhoid prolapsed upon a bowel movement but reduces automatically; grade three is when the hemorrhoid prolapsed upon a bowel movement and has to be manually reduced. The fourth stage is when the prolapsed hemorrhoid could not be manually reduced.

Basically a prolapsed hemorrhoid is an internal hemorrhoid that appears outside the anus. It is unknown why this type of hemorrhoid or any other type of hemorrhoid occurs. It is though that your lifestyle and stress results in a strain on the bowel muscles, which can cause hemorrhoids to occur. It is feasible to alter your way of life and prevent your hemorrhoids by eating high fiber foods, doing exercises and relaxing.

Many times a prolapsed hemorrhoid has to be treated, typically prolapsed hemorrhoids that are in stage three or four. There are actually several surgical methods that can be used. It is advisable to treat your hemorrhoids quickly as you can escape surgery. There are many non-operative methods to deal with stage one and stage two hemorrhoids. Often hemorrhoids will go away easily but if your hemorrhoids are prolapsed then you need treatment.

Dilation is not used much to treat hemorrhoids. If your hemorrhoids are as a result of increased sphincter pressure then dilation is used to stretch the anal tract. However this tends to damage the sphincter and patients can no longer manage their bowel movements. Doppler ligation has made it possible to find out which artery is supplying the hemorrhoid vessel. It is then possible for the doctor to tie of the artery, which makes the hemorrhoid to shrink. This procedure is costly and rubber band ligation functions in the same way and is more affordable.

Rubber band ligation works in the same way as Doppler ligation. A rubber band is used to cut off the blood circulation to the hemorrhoid, which make the hemorrhoid to shrink and reduce in size. This is a more popular procedure as it is very effective, not overly disturbing and the recovery is not nearly as distressing as other types of surgical techniques.

A sphincterotomy is used to reduce the pressure applied on the sphincter from the hemorrhoid. Actually a part of the sphincter is cut to reduce pressure though this procedure again runs the risk of affecting bowel movement control. You can also get your hemorrhoids removed surgically although this can be very painful.

One of the newest techniques is the stapled hemorrhoidectomy. This is quickly being the most popular form of treatment method for prolapsed hemorrhoids. Basically the hemorrhoid supporting tissue that has been expanded is stapled and decreased. This causes the hemorrhoid cushions to go back to their original position.

There are many precautionary measures you can take to avoid hemorrhoids. Drinking lot of of water, avoiding stress, eating high fiber foods, exercising regularly and having the correct posture can all help to decrease your possibility of having hemorrhoids. There are also many treatments that can reduce your hemorrhoids if they are in the first and second stage.
