Annoying Hemorrhoid…?
I’ve had this thing for a few months and just had a doctor look at it. Doc recommended using some ointment and things of that nature. Will the ointment and cleaning pads get rid of the hemorrhoid? Or will it just relieve the symptoms?

Speaking from personal experience, it just alleviates the symptoms. Therefore, not long term, although short term relief is Great.
An alternative method to creams would be witch hazel (looks like alcohol), which might be the first thing you want to try. Witch hazel can be most effective when applied after the affected area is soaked in a warm bath or treated with a cool compress.
Long term results come from changing your diet and eating lots of fiber and drinking lots of water. Alcohol and coffee, aggravate hemorrhoids.
Colon cleansing is also beneficial because you might have fecal material attached to the sides of the intestinal wall, which makes a smaller opening for the waste material to pass through.

Well, eventually it should (most likely) go away. I’m not sure if the medication makes this happen quicker, but I do know it relieves pain.

Yes the ointment will help take the pain go away and will also help clear it up faster. It should feel better in a few days.

Depends on the ointment. Some treatments are only delivering temporary relief. Rue Care Oil is shrinking the hemorrhoid, stops the bleeding and strengthening the veins.
