Anyone know how to get rid of hemorrhoids (sorry tmi)?

My baby is 11 months old and I have had them on and off since he was born. They completely disappeared for a couple of months but now they are back really bad. They’re reasonably painful but there seems to be a lot of blood when I go to the toilet. Please can you tell me what I can get over the counter?? I’m in America.

Please help.

I used tucks pads everytime i went. They are witch hazel and something else, aloe maybe. Also hot water sitz baths. Prep H, helps, just wear a pad after you apply at night time.

MD’s have a new laser procedure to remove them virtually pain free.

Hemorrhoid cream.. LOL you buy it anywhere.. Walgreen’s.. CVS..

it will reduce them to where they don’t hurt but the only way to fully get rid of them is surgery! So use the cream everytime you get one to help ease the pain.

You can go to the pharmacy department of any grocery store and get Preperation H. It helps itching and pain. You might also want to get a generic stool softener to keep them from getting worse.

I have had hemorrhoids most of my life. As a teen, they would bleed out during bowel movements. As an adult, they began to have two aspects; a deep throbbing pain that responded to hemorrhoid suppositories, and a superficial itchiness that I pretty much ignored. I have been to proctologists who have told me that they can surgically remove them but that they will grow back, it’s just a matter of time. I told them that as long as I could control them, I wouldn’t bother. This past year, I almost agreed to the surgery but they subsided again so I didn’t go through with it.
So to answer your question, suppositories work for me. Surgery is the cure, but it isn’t permanent. Only you can decide if you can live with them or if you want the proctologist to remove them. Determine how you feel and talk to your doctor and then make your decision.

i had this prob for 5 yrs. They come an go. Now unfortunetly…. once u get this you are very much prone to another flare. I had to have one of my lanced because of a clot!! Very painful and talk about emberassing. After a visit to a proctologist I learned that there is really nothing you can do to make them go away. The trick is PREVENTION! I use Miralax every day to keep them away. Makes going "potty" way easier. As soon as I miss a dose…. bam there they are again. I learned this the hard way. You can get Prep H but it really does little to help. If you need a prescription I suggest Anusol suppositories~ they work great. But try the miralax for a week and I bet ur problem will be fixed. Maybe u need to stay on it longer term like me. Now…. Miralax is spendy so get a generic for half the price. Mix it into ur juice, coffee whatever and I can almost promise you your problem will be gone! Mine were triggered with the birth of our now 6 yr old son. We just had our 2nd baby 4 months ago and I am pleased to tell ya that Miralax has cured my problems. Good luck and I hope u feel better soon!

According to my fiance (who tells me EVERYTHING since she got pregnant) the best thing to do is use tucks pads which have witch hazel or Preperation H whenever you use the bathroom (or every 4-6 hours, according to the label) and avoid getting constipated.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear that you have bleeding hemorrhoids. It can be really painful and embarrassing too!

To prevent them, drink tons of fluids and eat high fiber food to loosen your stools so that it passes out easily without stressing your rectal region. Exercise regularly also helps.

Now for treatment, often, surgical procedures are recommended to remove them. However, it must be made known that it does not entirely eliminate the issue and it may occur again in the future.

I suggest that you look for and try all others alternative treatment methods that is relatively less expensive before thinking of going for surgery.

Look for products that contains natural ingredients as they are gentler on your body.

Holistic and natural hemorrhoids treatments are quite effective in easing discomfort. Treatment of hemorrhoids includes herbal and homeopathic remedies which contain natural ingredients and are gentle to use without the risk of dependence.

Herbs such as Aloe ferox act as a natural stool softener and are a gentle remedy for constipation, which is what causes hemorrhoids quite often. Aloe is also widely recommended for inflammatory digestive disorders. Taraxacum officinale (Dandelion) contains bitter principles which have a beneficial effect on the liver and digestive system. In addition, Passiflora incarnata is one of nature’s most well-regarded carminitives, and helps to provide hemorrhoids relief and ease muscle tension in the bowel.

There are also many herbs well known for their beneficial effect on circulation, including Ginkgo biloba, Cratageous oxycanthus, and Gotu cola, while herbal creams can assist with the itching, inflammation, and hemorrhoids relief. Always remember to obtain your natural medicines from a reputable company to ensure maximum safety and efficacy.
