Can cats get hemorrhoids?

My cat seems to have hemorrhoids. I just noticed this tonight, just wanted some info before I take him to the vet tomorrow.

It probably has a prolapsed rectum. This is not only painful, but can kill the cat. Get him to the vet.

yes my old 16 year old male has them.
get him to a vet just in case it isn’t and it is a prolapse or a tumor. but if it is hemorrhoids you Will need to put him on a high fibre diet.

yes cats can get hemorrhoids… if your cat has them you do not want to let them get dried out this will kill your cat..you have to get to a vet asap and keep all around your cats butt moist.. id get to the vet as soon as they open.. i had a guinea pig n it got hemorrhoids n almost died from it cos i didnt know to stop them from drying out…
if its got hemorrhoids, it will have some kind of blobby, or veiny thing popping out of its butt…its quite gross but dont let it dry,
