Hemorrhoids ARE caused by hard stools and straining to go. If you have a hemorrhoid the doctor will give you medicated suppositories and have you sit in a warm tub for 15 minutes for a few days.
Then, you should buy stool softeners. They're sold in the laxative aisle. 100mg's of docusate sodium is very safe. You can buy the generic and taking 2 a day is harmless but will keep your stools soft, so you won't have to strain.
Medication definitely causes constipation. And not enough exercise does too, as well as not enough fiber in your diet.
I wouldn't say that seat belts cause hemorrhoids, but being laid up sure can!
Talk to your doctor about this. In the meantime start taking stool softeners and Metamucil or Citrucel 1-3 times a day.
Good luck! :)

I suppose it is possible, but you should worry about getting it treated more than what it's cause was. please see a doctor
