Could a slight case of hemorrhoids cause a blood fecal test to read positive?
I just had a positive reading in 1 of 2 specimens during my yearly exam. I sometimes bleed a little down there anyways. Could this cause the test to read positive?

Yes. An FOBT is looking specifically for blood. If your hem’s were bleeding at the time then the FOBT would pick it up.
Talk with your doctor. The two of you will decide whether or not to go to the next step – a colonoscopy.
Bleeding hems can sometimes cover up other more sever issues. It would be a good idea to get some clear diagnostic tests done as well as getting your hems treated.
