Could i just be getting a hemorrhoid now..?
I had a baby 6 weeks ago and thank god have been feeling great. but over the past 2 days i have had severe pain when going to the bathroom and slight bleeding..i know its common to develop hemorrhoids after pregnancy or labor but is it possible ive had one all along and am only feeling it now? has anyone else experiences this??

You would know if you have hemorrhoids as you will have a lump or lumps (there is a picture here, not pretty, but maybe helpful http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemorrhoid). I suffered with hemorrhoids during part of my pregnancy and they hurt most of the time, not just when I used the bathroom.
While a little bit of blood can be ok, you need to check weather it is bright red blood or darker. Darker or brownish blood suggests it’s old blood and can be a sign of a problem. Bright red blood will be new blood and probably just from a tear or something that gets re opened when you use the bathroom.
Severe pain doesn’t sound good, I think it might be a good idea for you to see a doctor.

Sounds like hemorrhoids, but i would get that checked asap. I say this because I had similar situation but turned out to be IBD (not IBS). However I had no pain, so I think you will only have the hemorrhoids.

yea very possible it happened to me… for now till you go to the doc when you go to the bathroom make sure you have a hot bath waiting for you and jump in right when your done my doc gave me anucort -hc 25mg i recommend that you ask for these it takes about a week i waited to long if i had these in the begging i would have been perfectly fine know

I developed hemorrhoids after my delivery. It was very painful and I had slight bleeding as well. My midwife did check me though to make sure that everything was OK and there was nothing else going on like tearing, etc.
