You could have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). This can cause haemorrhoids and also diahorrea sometimes and hard stools sometimes. It basically means you have a sensitive bowel. If you feel something that feels like a hard grape-like ball at the opening of the anus or just an inch inside the rectum, then it is definately a haemorrhoid. If you are over 40, you should probably have the symptoms checked out by a doctor, as a precaution..but it's probably nothing serious.

Curious of your age, that has a lot to do with the probability. I do not think its a hemmorrhoid at all. If the bleeding came from the rectal area, it would first assume the constipation cause a slight tearing of the skin, which is not huge deal but will take a little time healing correctly since it is in a moist closed area. Also, repeated constipation can cause re-tearing of the initial tear. When you do not have diarrhea, take an over-the-counter medication called docusate stool softener. It really works. You can either take 100mg three times a day or 300mg before sleeping. Everything comes out clumpy and smooth.

About diarrhea, is this because of your diet? Or maybe you're worrying is causing an imbalance of acids in your stomach... Make sure you're eating a healthy diet to help regulate your bowels. Goodluck.
