External hemorrhoid home treatment?
I heard that if you have an external hemorrhoid you could try to push it back in. Has anyone ever tried this? Or is this a bad idea?
The hemorrhoid is not an open wound. It’s not bleeding or open or anything.

Bad idea. The exposed tissue needs to heal. Take a stool softener, aok in a warm bath, use tucks pads to wipe instead of toilet paper, apply hemroid ointment to the infected area. That’s all you need to do.

You can try to gently push it back in, however, it will not heal in this way. Pushing it in only helps to feel more comfortable. A great treatment for hemorrhoids is Rue Care Oil. At least it helped me after lots of other treatment options have failed to deliver results.
