    Hi danman44…
Thank goodness you’ve asked first before trying it out.I read this article called "Freezing Hemorrhoids" and after reading it I would think twice before doing it never mind the great advertising you have to live with the results afterwards. Below in source you can get the address for the article

I’ve just cut n pasted it in for you.
I’ve gotten quite some questions from people regarding a remedy
called crotherapy…. for example, there are gels and creams on
the market that do cryotherapy … BUT most of these very work?

I’ve never tried one myself and I’ll tell you … one in all my friends
M.Turner from Astoria, NY USA has tried it and agrees with the
following …. it causes more additional issues probably than it
    intends to solve.

If you don’t grasp already, cryotherapy is the freezing off
of a hemorrhoid. It’s usually conducted with a cold probe to be
inserted and used to freeze off the hemorrhoid’s blood supply.

It is easy and painless…. BUT… here’s the main downfall they
    DON’T want you to know… I suspect…

Statistically, the area will be under-frozen or over-frozen and with
larger hemorrhoids, this could cause injury to the muscle surrounding it. Do
you really want that taking place? RISKING it?

A lot of people, I’ve heard need surgery in a few years again.

Not to say side-effects like leakage and foul-smell since the
    muscle gets damaged – YUCK!
