Help needed with hemorrhoid please…?

Ive had a hemorrhoid for abt a week now. It was painful during the first few days but now the pain has eased without me using any medication. However, I am a bit concerned about the lump that has come out(i know its gross, but that’s the way to describe it… :-) I’d like to know if there’s anything that i can do to help the lump to shrink or should I live with it throughout my entire existance…And if anything can be done, what are the measures to be taken..thx

you can push them back in, and creams do shrink them, if it really bothers you go to the docs .

some people tie them off with thread, which stops the blood supply, and wait for them to fall away.

personally, I’d try some anusol (or ‘preparation H’, if you’re a yank). If that didn’t work, I’d go to a doctor.

The best treatment is 2 inches of water in a bathtub with two cups of epsom salts make the water hot as you can stand (on your bum) OK ! stir to dissolve sit in this until the water cools. about thirty mins.. the problem should go away, The next time this happens this is a good way to kill the pain also.

If you are fortunate and can avoid straining and alter your diet so you have plenty of fruit, veg and fibre and increase your liquid intake, you may be lucky in that they will not get worse and what you have will improve but if you strain when attempting a motion, you may require further treatment and they may become worse.

Sounds as though it is a new problem for you so that could work in your favour.

I hope so. I agree regarding the use of creams and other suggestions from those who have answered so far.

The lump is usually an inflammed venous wall. Herbal medications with anti-inflamatory properties often help. NPR contains horse chestnut which has anti-inflammatory qualities and it is available over the counter.

Hemorrhoids like to flare up or retreat depends on the food you’re eating. Acid forming foods are triggering the hemorrhoids flare-up, while alkaline forming foods are calming them. A proper diet can definitely help with hemorrhoids, but to get permanently rid of them, I suggest you get Rue Care Oil – it shrinks the hemorrhoid, stops bleeding and strengthens the veins.
