hemorrhoid + bowel movement? i really, REALLY need help?
hey ,,
alright, um this is embarrassing, but whatever. it’s been about two weeks that i’ve had an external hemorrhoid. during the first few days, it hurt, and ya. but now, it doesn’t hurt as much. i wanted to buy preparation h, but i’m too embarrassed. i tried asking my dad, but it wouldn’t come out. i went to the store, tried picking it up, but like i was waaayyy too embarrassed, so yeah. i’ve started eating more fiber. i excersie every day and yeah. the pain has kinda gone, but the hemorrhoid itself is still there, but whatever. that’s not my main concern as of right now.
ever since i’ve had that external hemorrhoid, i haven’t been able to use the toilet properly. like i’ve only went to the toilet 3 times in 2 weeks… that’s not good. normally, i go like every 3 days. now, it’s really hard for me to go. like, whenever i have a bowel movement, i fart :S… omg this is sooo gross and embarrassing, but yeahhhh. like i fart a lot, but i can’t let my stool out. i’ve tried so many times, but i just can’t. if i strained, it would go out, but i don’t want to. straining worsens hemorrhoids. that’s why i can’t do it. if i didn’t have hemorrhoids, i’d strain, yeah. but now, because i’ve got this condition, i can’t, because i’m scared it’ll worsen things and i just can’t endure the pain of having to go to the doctor and get a sugery and all. i can’t buy anything… no medication… no enema… i’m way too embarrassed. i’m 15 and i haven’t given birth, by the way.
help me, please… like is there anything i can eat? i heard prunes, pears help?

Phoebe, get over your embarrassment, after all, you are 15 years old now, if you need medication, be an adult an go buy it. I would suggest going to the pharmacy the first thing in the morning when they first open. Get some Preparation H for the hemorrhoids and buy a combination water bottle/douche/enema set and give yourself a one quart warm water enema for the constipation. These types of kits are reusable and last for years.

oh honey, go see the doctor, you probably won’t qualify for surgery anyway. so i want you to try All Bran Buds. Eat 1/3 cup every day. its like 4 bucks for a box and its worth much more. good colon health is important. if your hemorrhoid doesn’t improve soon though, go see the doc! witch hazel is the main ingredient in tucks pads. so if you cant get those get T.N Dickinson’s witch hazel at Walgreen’s or walmart and dilute it with a little water. nobody will ever know what its for because you can also use it for a facial astringent. hope this helps!

Treatment of external type of Hemorrhoid depends on severity and one’s willingness to surgery or temporary medicinal remedy for pain relief. Treatment for initial phases is very simple and can be done in simple ways. First of all the hygienic condition should be maintained at all times during the day or night. The anal region should be kept clean to avoid any bacterial infection. People should include more of fibers in their diet found from whole grains, fruits and vegetables etc. fibers and roughage smoothen the flow of stool thus reducing the irritation to the hemorrhoids caused by hard stool. One should try to reduce eating junk and spicy food, excessive alcohol or smoking which is the main causes of hard stool. Alcohol consumption and smoking have always been the culprits for increasing a patient’s blood pressure. High blood pressure beyond a certain limit causes the external hemorrhoid to irritate more. One can use sitz bath, ice pack, creams and ointments as recommended by the doctor to get relief from hemorrhoids. However, in extreme cases doctors recommend getting them operated which could be painful.

Hi Phoebe,
I can understand the embarrassment side of things but well done for giving a graphic description of what your going through. I can see by what you’ve written you have read up some on hemorrhoids, and your right about the straining and constipation.
You are also on the right track with eating more fiber you should be eating and ounce of dietary fiber per day. Here is a little list of things you should be eating. Not all at once I might add
Baked potato with the skin, green snap beans, pole beans, and broad beans, plums, pears, and apples, plums, pears, and apples, spinach, beet greens, kale, collards, swiss chard and turnip greens, nuts, cherries, bananas, carrots and coconut Dried beans, peas, and other legumes baked beans, kidney beans, split peas,,pinto beans and black beans, bran cereals, fresh or frozen green peas, dried fruit, figs, apricots and dates, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries, sweet corn, whether on the cob or cut off in kernels,whole-wheat and other whole-grain cereal products, rye, oats, buckwheat and stone-ground cornmeal are all high in fiber.Bread, pastas, pizzas, pancakes and muffins made with whole-grain flours, broccoli.
Be aware when you increase fiber in your diet till your body gets used to it you will tend to fart a lot.
The next thing is you should be drinking 2.5 to 3.5 pints of water per day every day it eases digestion makes your stools softer.
Start taking 3 tablespoons of Linseed with a little liquid during each meal digestion will become normal
You mentioned prunes this is how you go about it with them.
Figs and Prunes soaked in cold water overnight ,slightly warmed and eaten before or as breakfast are also effective.
If your constipation does not get better after all this then get Wild Chickory or Succory make a tea with it and take half to one cup full drunk on an empty stomach this will get rid of the most stubborn constipation.
Hey Phoebe leave a comment on my blog telling me how you get on and I wish you all the best.

There are certain natural ways of hemorrhoids removal. These include
1. Apply ice packs on the affected areas.
2. Sitz bath, which is a small tub and is specially designed to allow the soaking of hemorrhoids without taking a bath. In this process the rectal area is soaked in hot water for 15-20 minutes about 3-4 times a day. Not only does this helps relieve symptoms but also aids shrinkage of the hemorrhoids.
Maybe this can help you with your problem.
