There is no need to see your doctor about your hemmoroids unless they are bleeding a lot. I got them after delivery. To be honest I don’t know how badly because I had stitches as well so I was in pain all over. They do go away, it just takes time. Remember, you’re probably doing a lot more sitting now and the pressure on your bottom doesn’t help much. Mine flared up about a week or two after delivery. They cleared up around the 2-3 months mark.
I bought this cream called Dibucane ointment. It’s OTC but my husband said he actually had to ask the pharmacist for some at Walmart. It cost about $5 for a tube. I would place a small amount on a folded tucks pad (wally world brand) and tuck that booger up in my buttcrack lol. I made sure it touched my stitches as well. It really relieved some of the pain. Let me add that the ointment combined with the tucks pads and your post partum bleeding will cause a funky smell. My pads always had a weird smell when i changed them, but the point was it worked for me.
Good luck!

I’ve hearrd roids are common and it might go away but I’m not a doc. try some tucks or other OTC products if that doesnt help see your reg. physician.

I had them before and after with all my children. They do go away on their own eventually however there are several things you can do to get relief and help the swelling go down.
First run about 1-2 inches of hot water in the bath tub. You don’t want to burn your self but you do want to make it as hot as you can stand it then add 1/4 cup of epsom salt or sea salt (if you don’t have either of them use table salt) sit in it until the water starts to cool off then get out and apply an ice pack for 10-15 minutes, then do another salt bath, then do more ice, the more you repeat the more the swelling will go down.
When your feeling much better place a tucks pad or another form of witch hazel pad over the area and leave it on this will help slow the re-swelling. When it hurts bad again start over. This will also help keep the swelling and itching down from stitches if you have them from delivery.
edit: don’t let the clot thing scare you that is a very rare thing very few people require surgery for this problem and most doctors will have you do the salt water sitz baths, ice packs, and witch hazel first as well as telling you to be sure you are taking an over the counter stool softener till they have healed on their own.

Forget the over the counter products. Go to the dr. and get a prescription. I had them with all four children. If it hasn’t gone away, you may have a blood clot in it. This is not serious, but will need to be lanced and drained to get rid of it (hurt like hell – sorry to say.) Go to the dr. You will feel much more comfortable when it is taken care of properly. You can also try and squish it down with your fingers or ice it. This can help. Good luck. I feel your pain. Mama of a 5 week old.

It will hurt for a few days but fortunately they go away on their own.

I got one from pushing as well. I used Preperation H and Tucks. They both helped alot. I would speak to your obgyn about it. That’s what I did.
Mine subsided about 2 months afterwards and it is gone now. (nearly 5 months pp)
Good luck, I know they suck.

Best thing a nurse ever told me "get witch hazel (pharmacy or health food store) and put it on a cotton ball and put on hemeroid" It shrinks them in a couple of days. Best advice EVER!!!!

Go to family doctor. If you feel it outside and its hard then you might have to get it removed. If its not to big and your doctor advises surgery and no alternative, try and find a specialized doctor. Either way go to your doctor as soon as possible you do what you must. Also it helps to eat high fiber foods, no spicy or salty foods, lay down with legs up as if trying to get pregnant, dont stand or sit a lot, use a bidet if you have one or moisturized tissue to wide, sit in a warm bath tub, don’t touch, and if you dont have some special hemorrhoid cream use Vaseline.
