hemorrhoid or something else?

I have a lump/bump on the area between my anus and my vagina (i think its called the perineum), and I have read that hemorrhoids are either internal or appear ON the hole of the anus. I have also read that they usually appear in a ‘cluster,’ but i only have one.
it doesnt itch or anything, but its kind of a bother and when i wipe after taking a bowel movement it irritates it. it is a hard bump.
i do have IBS with chronic constipation, so the fact that i have some constipation isnt really worrying me– im just not sure if this is a hemorrhoid or something different. ive tried using a generic preparation h creme, but because of the area its in it doesnt really stay on the bump itself and just makes the area messy.
HELP!
is this a hemorrhoid or something i should be more worried about? i dont really want to go to the doctor for it because i dont even know what i would say to schedule an appointment, plus its embarassing. pluuus, i want it gone NOW! :(
ideas? thanks so much
oh, i am 21 years old, if that matters.

It could be a dilated Bartholin’s gland. When Bartholin’s glands get infected, then the condition is referred to as Bartholinitis. This is a benign condition and the best person to whom you could show it would be your gynecologist. It does not sound like hemorrhoids based in the location you described. Nevertheless, a thrombosed external hemorrhoid cannot be excluded based on your description of symptoms. This may also be something else. Unusual causes would include an infected/swollen hair follicle (kind of like a pimple) or hydradenitis (infected/swollen sweat gland), sebaceous or epidermoid cyst, …

Do not be embarrassed at all about this. Call your gynecologist’s office and ask for an appointment. One can expect them to always be very sensitive and responsive to women’s health issues. Infrequently, findings such as yours may be due to a sexually transmitted disease that I mention for the sake of being thorough. Therefore, you should definitely follow up with your gynecologist.

    I hope this can help.

im really not an expert on the matter..
but im just going to share this information with you..

unless its a Enlarged, swollen veins in the anus then it’s hemorrhoids..

External hemorrhoids can cause pain, itching, burning, and irritation. You might notice streaks of bright red blood on toilet paper after straining to have a bowel movement, and it may be difficult to clean the anal area.

Home treatment is recommended for most external hemorrhoids. Treatment includes gradually increasing fiber and water in your diet, using creams to help stop itching, and occasional use of stool softeners.

You can often prevent hemorrhoids or keep them from becoming worse by maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Eat a fiber-rich diet of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Also, drink plenty of water and exercise regularly.

THE BEST ADVICE i can say would be.. seek medical attention.. especially when the lump gets worse..
it easier to treat signs and symptoms before it progress into something more complicated..
Besides doctors are professionals you dont need to feel embarrass, they do things like that all the time that’s why they go to med school ryt? and they would be glad to serve you..

hope i had help you in some ways..
    get well soon..

It does sound like a hemorrhoid.
It may be a little uncomfortable but peel a banana and put the skin on the affected area inside your knickers and this should help to reduce and get rid of it.
Hope this helps and have a great day/night!!!

I believe that avoiding refined foods is the first step so that you can lose weight. They will taste very good, but processed foods possess very little nutritional value, making you take in more simply to have enough electricity to get with the day. For anyone who is constantly ingesting these foods, transitioning to whole grain products and other complex carbohydrates will help you to have more electricity while ingesting less. Great blog post.
