Hemorrhoid problem during pregnancy?

I started having hemorrhoid problems after my first son 8 years ago and here i am almost 31 weeks pregnant with my third son. The problem i am having is that this hemorrhoid appears to be sticking out from the hole itself and its big. Every little thing hurts sitting, walking, any movement. I tried sticking it back in since i had to do that after my 2nd son but this thing refuses to stay there. Any advice on ways to treat it? I have tried preparation H and warm bath.

    Oh you poor thing…..
First talk to your doctor I am sure she will give you some good advice.
My only other advice to you is maybe sitting on one of those "donut" pillows that you blow up. I used one when I broke my tailbone. It will totally eliminate the pressure on the area.
I wish you luck!!! Congrats on the (soon to be)baby !!!

Go to the Dr because some haemoroids during pregnancy do have to be removed or they may be able to give u something to help reduce the size

ask your doctor. you may have to get it surgically removed if it is really bothersome.

Unfortunately there is not a whole lot you can do. The doc can preform a procedure but I am not sure they will do it while you are prego. It’s definitely worth asking your doctor though. My good friend had them really bad like this with her daughter and she used a boppy pillow to sit on. Ugh pregnancy can really be pain full. Soon you will have your bumpkin and your bum will feel better. :)

It’s hard to get things like this to go away, It’s a blown muscle baisicly, it would be like having a ripped bicep…The best way to get rid of it would be warm baths every day, and LOTS of fiber. And try to keep your pysical strain to a minimum. After your pregnancy they will probably heal up just fine, Some people have them bad, like grapes hanging out of thier bum :[
    I hope I helped some :D

I’m not sure if you’re into homeopathic treatment of any kind, but this website (www.amoils.com) has a great hemorrhoids oil treatment. It has a specific blend for pregnant and/or nursing mothers.

    The direct link is below.

Be sure to read all about it and discuss it with your doctor if it’s something you would like to try.

(I know two people who have tried this and it has worked tremendously well for both of them. They even offer a money back guarantee if you’re not satisfied.)

Good luck to you and best wishes with you’re new addition!

You can buy slings to help you ease the pressure in that area. You wear them under your clothes and they sort of ‘hold everything up and in’. I have a friend who sells them is Australia but if you’re not in Aus you could message me and I will ask her where else you can get them if you like. It’s a terrible problem and I really feel for you. You can also try sitting on a swimming ring in the car and at home to ease the pressure a bit. Other than that, lie down whenever possible.

I would see if your doctor would remove it for you.

I’d get your doctor to prescribe you something.

My doc recommended I use Tucks ointment and pads, which together worked wonders. I also had bulging, painful hemorrhoids.

I had hemorrhoids a few years back and preparation H was useless to me. I also tried regular doses of powdered Metamucil with a lot of water intake and this didn’t get rid of the problem either. After a lot of online research here are some things I discovered:

Water and fiber are important (but they won’t solve the problem alone): As our stool passes through our intestines, our body hydrates itself by absorbing water from the stool. If we don’t drink enough water, by the time we excrete, our stool is dry and scratchy which will irritate that area during and after bowel movements. So a bulky stool created by fiber and high water intake is preferable and actually easier to pass.

The right kind of carbohydrates are important: We eat a lot of processed carbohydrates which do not make for a healthy stool. Cultures that eat almost no processed carbohydrates (some African cultures) have zero hemorrhoid problems. Try eating more potatoes as they provide the right type of carbohydrates for a healthy stool. This did a lot for my problem.

Certain foods act as a "lubricant" for the stool so it does not irritate as much on the way out. Fish oil, peanut oil, and even many greens (veggies) have this effect.

Since hemorrhoids are are basically swollen blood vessels as a result of weak vessel walls, foods that strengthen blood vessel walls are good. These foods include cherries and blue berries.

Some things make the stool very scratchy so avoiding them can help you through a difficult stretch. What things am I talking about? Sugar and salt. Take these away and your stool will be less irritable.

As for the pregnancy part of this, you can’t do much there. Perhaps lay on your side more if it helps. Sleep more if you can since it will help some. I don’t recommend the donut cushions because they have a strangulating effect and concentrate pressure in the hemorrhoid area. But if they really help relieve pain then I won’t argue here.

    Hope this helps!
