Hemorrhoid question?
I’ve had my hemorrhoid for quite some time now, and until recently it hasn’t really made my life hard or anything. I think hard was a bad word to use. Really about 2 weeks ago I went to use the restroom in the morning and( this may sound nasty) but my bowels were normal but kinda big, and when I went to clean myself I noticed my hemorrhoid was swollen a little which previously never happened when I relieved myself. However it would go down by itself when I got off the toilet and went to go do other things during the day. It seems now that 2 weeks later it only swells when I relieve myself. And now after today I’ve noticed a soreness feeling when I go to touch it to clean it. The cream I used prescribed from my doctor before that shrunk my hemorrhoid will not shrink it anymore than it is. It considerably shrunk the hemorrhoid so it did work. But all I am asking is, is there anything I can do to not make it swell and hurt when I relieve myself?
I do already take metamucil daily. I am not constipated, I do go to the bathroom every single day, so passing is not my issue. I do workout regularly about 4 days a week which never really had a negative effect ever on my hemorrhoid. I just want to know how I can make it how it used to be. Please !

Creams only work so far. Salt baths help and also after you’ve been to bathroom, wash the area thoroughly, don’t just wipe with tissue. Wipes work well too. They can swell from forcing, which you say you don’t do, or because it’s hard to keep a hemorrhoid clean and then it gets sore. Have some salt baths and wash the area after every bowel movement.

I dont believe hem are from straing, I had them and I was never straining to go. Warm baths did help though. I didnt use any special salt or anything, just a warmbath. Get yourself some baby wipes to keep in the bathroom to clean yourself afterwards(unsented!!!) and they make them now for travel so you could stick them in your glove box and breifcase.good luck
