Hemorrhoids?

I heard that after you give birth hemorrhoids you get hemorrhoids. I have luckily enough lived without this through the whole pregnancy.

Do any of you have any suggestions as to things that relieved them…. :) sorry.. haha I should have had a comma in there somewhere. :)

  1. Tucks pads(with witchhazel) to sooth, hemorrhoid cream like preparation H can help. It helps to not strain when going #2, go when you have the urge, get plenty of fiber in diet like eat fruit & vegetables, drink lots of fluids, get excercise like walking. Standing too long can make it worse. Also, you can push them back in if they prolapse. Then, there are Hydrocortisone suppositories to shrink them and lastly, there are banding procedures if they get really bad.

  8. For the most part, they’re no big deal. If any discomfort, good old Prep H. At 66, I’ve had them since my first (of four) kids - only time they bother me is if I ride my bike more than 35 miles at a time. They’re always there, but most times you don’t even know it. Not to worry……

  9. There are many things.

    * Be careful when defecating. If you are careful and don’t strain it releases the chances.
    * Play with your diet to try and find the right touch that will prevent that.
    * If you go to the hospital for 1 procedure they can remove all and prevent them from happening again.
    * Go to the doctor after giving birth. That is VERY VERY VERY important. If you do not go to a decent doctor, and get them treated DECENTLY then you will have them for the rest of your life AFTER giving birth. Go to a doctor after about 1 month of after birth and get the hemmroidal situation evaluated so the doctor can give you the after birth hemmroidal medicine to prevent them in the future.

    Side Advice
    * Anal douche
    * Cold water
    * Ice
    * Cooling pad
    * Heating Pad

  10. An inflatable dough nut seat cushion so that you aren’t sitting on them. It does not have to be inflatable though.

    Witch hazel is what is in tucks pads and that helps a little.

  11. you’re most likely to get hemorroids while pregnant than after.

    after you give birth and your uterus starts to contract, you are released of all that preasure which causes hemorroids in the first place.

    So don’t worry about getting them after giving birth, it’s most likely that you wont, being that blood can circulate better now.

  12. How far along are you? I am a pro on this, I had surgery with my first in my 8th month. It was horrible. Suppositories are ok for a temp fix. Which hazle pads are soothing, just leave the pad there. My Dr. gave me a numbing cream, I can not remember the name of it, but holyshit it was awesome. Good luck……

  13. Just because you give birth doesn’t mean you will get them. It is a possability. You usually get hemorrhoids when you are straining. I was lucky, 2 kids and no hemorrhoids. My husband has gotten them. He used thoes moist hemorrhoid pads when wipping and he said that they help.

  15. My sister is 4 months pregnant (first child) and she is experiencing hemorrhoids herself. Her doctor told her to use Preparation H….hemorrhoid creme.

    The poor thing had a yeast infection and hemmorrhoids.

    :-(

    She said she doesn’t want to get pregnant again if this is always going to happen! LOL

  17. A lukewarm bath with epsom salt. Go to a doctor to make sure that’s what it is. It could be a number of things.

  18. Your dr can prescribe "procto-foam." You insert it a little and spray like mousse, and it helped the pain dramatically. Don’t get constipated–miralax.
