hemorrhoids 8 months after childbirth?

I got hemorrhoids while I was 9 months pregnant. Now I’m 8 months POST-pregnancy and I still have this painful hemorrhoid that occasionally makes an appearance! Is this pretty normal? Or am I suppose to go see a doctor now that it has been so long?

There are many people who haven’t had a single hemorrhoid in their life but once they have a baby they have them for the rest of their lives. Some people have them before they have children and they get worse afterwards.

I would try preperation H cream or witch hazel for treatment.Try not to strain or it could make it worse (you probably already know)

If it gets any worse, have a doc check it out.

You may have a blood clot that will not go away without treatment (this is not serious.) But they will have to lance (cut) and drain it. Have your partner look for a purple spot on the hemmoroid or look with a mirror yourself.

One you break the blood vessel it’s broken for good. What you have coming back after you first got it is called inflamation. Your broken sack/vessel has filled with blood again causeing pain. So if you broke it its broke for good.
You can get it banded so that broken vessel falls off. Or you live with it and do Witch Hazel, Tucks, warm baths or icing when ever it gets inflamed to be able to deal with the pain till it goes down again.
Eat plenty of Citrus and never push when doing a BM and that should help.
