Increase your fiber. I take metamucil and that is all natural so it shouldn’t harm the baby. Ask the doctor first.

I’m right with ya there girlfriend.
I ate prunes and other dried fruit and drank lots of water. I also ate a lot of baby carrot…like half a bag at one sitting.
I did use a hemmorid suppository when they got bad, and that did help if I was diligent about it.
They are no fun, I know.

I use to have a problem with constipation. I went on the Adkins diet to lose 10 pounds. In doing so, I gave up a lot of carbs. One of the 1st things I noticed was I wasn’t constipated anymore. I’ve been off the Adkins diet for several years now, but still try not to eat as much bread and other carbs as I was. I’m still okay.
I’m not suggesting you go on the Adkins diet, but you might want to try to limit the amount of bread-type things you eat (cereals, pastas, etc). Also, when I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago, because I was afraid to push, I got constipated again. Someone told me to eat nuts. That worked for me!

Talk to your Dr. he can recommend or even prescribe something that will be safe while you are pregnant.

You can get hemorroids from pushing too hard to move your bowels, too much pressure down there can cause the anal tissue to herniate and stick out… try not pushing hard (dont MAKE yourself go), and try not to sit for long periods of time. you can also GET them from the weight of the baby and all the other stuff in your abdomen gettin so heavy that it cuts off circulation to the viens and arteries down there. Lots of women also get them DURING labor and delivery while pushing.
you can ask for a prescription cream or ointmen to help shrink and relieve discomfort
use hazel on cotten pads or meddicated hemerroid pads
take lots of baths!! warmd water and the weightlessness of your body is such a relief!
buy a hemerroid pillor (looks like a large doughnut)
The bad thing during pregnancy is that once you get them… even with the ointments and meds they probably wont go away till after birth.
good luck!!
