How do I get rid of a hemorrhoid?

I believe it is technically a thrombosed hemorrhoid. Little larger than a pea and kind of dark purplish. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

take stool softeners, don’t strain to go, add more fiber to your diet on a daily basis, get some preparation H suppositories, they do help. Keep the area clean, use physohex or other liquid antibacterial soap every time you have a BM
I used to get them on a routine basis and my Dr told me to do this, but prescribed suppositories.
You can also have them surgically removed, but that is not something I would want to do.
