How do I know if I have hemorrhoids?
Sometimes when I wipe there’s blood, and there’s a little lump on the rim of my anus.
What kinds of tests does the doctor do? I’m really uncomfortable with the idea of a doctor touching my anus. I know he’s a professional and all, but still. Does Prep. H work well to eliminate it?

Do you have itching and/or burning sensations?
The little lump might be a bulging hemorrhoid.
Go see a GI doctor (gastroenterologists). They have to deal with 10 different anuses (and colons) every day, so they’re used to it and very gentle. (Don’t see a family doctor, he/she won’t be as gentle). There are several stages for hemorrhoids and the earlier you take care of the problem, the easier it will be. An earlier stage might just need a change in your diet (more fibers) or the way you evacuate. Advance stages might need extremely painful medical treatments.
OTC medicines usually are good to relieve the symptoms, like the itching (Tucks is great, I think) but what you really need to do is find the cause and do prevention because whatever you do, they’ll come back unless you find the cause.
One good advice I could give you, the one advice your doctor won’t tell you (because they would be out of business if they would do that because nobody would get hemorrhoids), is to squat when you evacuate. Squatting is the natural position of the body for evacuation, used all over the world except in some countries like USA or Europe, where they adopted the sitting toilet, which is the worse way to do it. Do some research online and you’ll see (hemorrhoids are the consequence of the sitting defecation posture).
Nobody likes to talk about this but it’s a fact of life.
Believe me, just try it once…and you’ll be convinced.

Go to the doctor, better to be safe than sorry. Sure it’s a bit embarrassing but so what? Is there anything you think your doctor hasn’t seen? Millions of people have hemorrhoids, doctors probably look at someone’s ass every week.
As for tests, they may put a finger in your ass to make sure there is nothing abnormal going on. It’s a bit uncomfortable but doesn’t hurt too much.

Check out this site. It has a lot of information that should answer most of your questions. Also a home treatment method that I used and it got rid of mine in about 3 days.

You shouldn’t be too concerned about the doctors they are there to help. Hemorrhoids are so painful and If you are diagnosed with hemorrhoids you might want to try some natural remedies, as the store bought creams just take the pain away. They don’t really cure the problem.
I came across a website that offers natural remedies and also offers a free guide, you can find it at http://www.cureforpiles.com
Good luck hope you feel better soon
