How do they operate on hemorrhoids ?

How do they operate on hemorrhoids ?

Im going to have my hemorrhoids surgerically removed soon and was wondering wether it hurt. How they did it? Will i be asleep?
And how long am i in hospital for?
I would really appriciate your answers, im real scared!
