If they are that bad and nothing is working on them. I would see your doctor. I did sitz baths daily and I think that helped alot. Good luck, they are a pain in the butt. Someone told me they really never go away! They shrink, but then come back when you go again! GREAT I KNOW!!! I would talk to a doctor as I did with mine. He said to keep an eye on it. I can take up to 6-9 months for those muscles to heal after birth. If not, he said I can have it removed. Not sure what it entails as I hope my go away. He also said stay with Prep-H Wipes and cream. Try to keep the prep-h "pad" on it between bathroom trips. It helped me get through some tough days. Good luck! PS. I hate that word hemorrhoid too! :) Have the same problem! Don't be embarassed, your Dr. understands & won't judge you. Proctofoam or Novacort worked nicely in conjuction with placing a Tucks pad on them at each bathroom visit. There are internal and external 'roids. Yeah, I didn't expect that to be the painful part of healing after childbirth either. Surprise! Five months is a long time, I'd definitely talk to a doc.
