How long to get over hemorrhoids?
I have had hemorrhoids for about 10 days now. I didn’t diagnose them until Tuesday. Having never had them before I didn’t know what was going on. I have internal and external ones. I believe the internal ones are gone. However the external ones are not. I am drinking a lot of water, using preparation H wipes and creams, setting in warm water 10-15 mins 1-2 times a day. They feel like they are getting smaller but they feel very raw right now. Please help me out here, this is killing me

You actually don’t ever really get rid of hemorrhoids.(unless you have surgery- There are new methods of surgery that they are using that is
less painful than surgery years ago.
They are varicose veins in the anal area -
You can take measures that will keep them from flaring up.
Dont’t strain at bowel movements –
Do your business and get off the commode.
You can use a stool softener if you are constipated
Drink lots of water and eat food high in fiber so you don’t become constipated.
What you are doing right now is about the best treatment you can do.
You might want to be checked by a physician, just to be sure that nothing else is going on with your body.
if they are bleeding – you definitely want a physicians opinio.n.

Everyone laughs at hemorrhoids until they get them them self, then they are not funny anymore. You have my sympathy.
Internal ones don’t cause any problems, it is the external ones that hurt. Wash rather than wipe when you can and if possible, push them back inside if that is where they are coming from.
Preparation H (but suppositories) was the best for me, but it took just over a week for mine to go away, so hopefully yours will be going soon.
Try not to eat any constipating foods for a while, as you really don’t want to be straining like that. At the same time, don’t try to make your stools too loose either, as the liquid feces will hurt worse than ever I found. Just eat as normally as you can and only mild food until they are gone. I would consider going to the doctor as well, if only for something for the pain.

The damage in piles is caused by the veins in the rectum getting stretched out of shape from within by having too much blood in them over long periods of time, blood that is forced in when you strain at stool, for example, or blood pushed there from somewhere else in the case of pregnancy or portal hypertension.
Once that damage is done, the body can repair it but it takes a long time, several months at best, because the veins can’t shut down to let the repair process work

hi, you can relieve pain and discomfort caused by external hemorrhoids include 1) Sitz baths with lukewarm water several times daily for about 10-15 minutes. After the bath tub sitting, the affected area should be dried gently with a clean towel in order to remove wetness from the area. When the affected area is left wet, this would cause an adverse effect – the hemorrhoids would get enlarged and more painful 2) Ice packs applied and withdrawn carefully reduce pain and swelling. 3) Application of hemorroidal suppositories alleviates discomfort and pain significantly.4) Hemorroidal creams, cortisone creams, Vaseline and petroleum jelly would bring an instant improvement of the external hemorrhoids.5) Wearing loose underwear is a must. The fabric of the garments should be of natural origin, preferably cotton or silk. 6) Cleaning the affected area after bowel movement by a gentle use of wet wipes helps control the itching and irritation of the anus.7) Taking aspirin or panadol relieves the pain temporarily.

I like your advise, but I’m still worried because it seem like my hemmrroids keep coming back. I had just had a breakout with them in August. They were the worst of all. Now they came back. I’m not constipated, I don’t strain and I eats veggies(not enough), and I drink lots of water. I’m staring to think maybe I need to get surgery to get them removed, because I can’t do anything. I can’t sit for a long period, it hurts when I walk, when I lay down and try to take my mind off of it, it still hurt. I’m just want them gone because it seems that they are taking over my life. Do you have any other advise that could help me. Thank you so much.

I have hemorrhoid really bad. I have had people tell me do not get the operation unless you are in so much pain you can’t walk eat or sleep. It takes several months after to heal. If you work you would have to take off 1 2 months. they come and go for me but are bad most of the time. I use nifedipline 0.2%. It helps a lot. drink water. If you get constipated V8 fusion will help with that. Get in the tub and sit for 15 minutes with epson saltes and very warm water. That will help. Use triple past to keep area dry. I really have not found anything to stop the burning. it does go away but hurts like hell. I will sit on toilet and rub them with triple past. it helps some. I take pain medicine when needed. I use wet wipes after every poop. If they get any worse I will have to have surgery. I was told that is the worst operation you can have. Hemorrhoids are not fun they hurt. I also use Vitamin E suppositories and rub on the outside of Hemorrhoids which does help. All these thing are just temporary it helps a little but nothing helps the burning. If anyone can help with that please let me know 2girls.

I’m 26 years old and the first time I had this issues was after I had given birth to my son. I could barely walk. I suffer from IBS and lately it’s been really really bad. I frequently have loose stools as well as I use the bathroom about 5-8 times a day. It’s gotten to the point that I can barely walk! Everytime I feel like they are getting better I have to go to the bathroom and BOOM there it goes again. They are so painful! The first time I had them I used the tucks pads and they really helped. This time I tried using the pas and the stinging burning that I recieved afterwards was more painful then the Hemorrhoids. I’ve looked at all these herbal suppliments but then I saw some of the side effects and am a bit skiddish to try them. I’m at my wits end!!! Short of pushing a popsicle up my butt, I feel like I haverun out of options! Does the Aloe with Lidocane really work?

Lidocaine and sterroidal creams do a lot of good to alleviate symptoms. If you can find a distributor of Standard Process herbal supplements, they make a product called Collinsonia Root (not sure if another company produces this or not). All it does is help promote vein health and since hemorrhoids are basically stretched out veins, it helps repair any damage, strengthen the vein and prevent future issues. If you are considering the surgery, I’d reconsider. I’ve heard horror stories about the recovery and the problems after the recovery (it’s apparently worse than the problem).
Also, as counter-intuitive as this may seem, get out and walk or go for a jog if you can. When mine flared up, I was in the middle of training for a half marathon and had done some weight lifting (the strain of weight-lifting caused the problem), so I laid around the house for days trying to let things settle down. Finally, I got stir crazy and decided to go for a walk and things started getting better. I’ve read since then that exercise can help increase the blood flow which helps flush things through and send fresh blood to the veins to help them heal.
