How to treat external hemorrhoids?

I have had hemorrhoids once before and used these wipe things with witch hazel. A couple of weeks ago I was really constipated and had a monster poop, I know I should eat fiber, drink a lot of water, etc. but there was nothing I could do at the time except get it out. So I got an external hemorrhoid and treated it with the witch hazel wipes and thought it went away but now I’m pretty sure it’s back. I haven’t checked yet but my butt’s itchy, same symptoms. So, how should I treat it? thanks peeps, I really appreciate it.

Preparation H and such products help largely by keeping the protrusion ‘greased’ and thus less aggravated by further movements. Even a simple ointment such as Vaseline, or antibiotic ointment such as Polysporin, performs the same function allowing the inflammation to settle. Be patient and don’t aggravate the area!!!! It, too, shall pass!

It sounds like you are doing everything right. They just take a long time to heal. Try putting witch hazel in a spray bottle and spraying it cause wiping could irritate it further. You can also try takins horse chestnut extract orally. Hope that helped.
