I have a 7 week old shitzu female pup and she seems to have what looks like a hemorrhoid on her butt hole…?
Is this possible and if not what else could it be. It’s very sensitive to the touch, meaning my baby yelps when I gently touched it She’s tries to poop but either she doesn’t have to or this thing is totally blocking the way. Some liquid has come out like she has diahrrea.
Before anyone states the obvious I know I must take her to the vet but I can’t get to one until in the morning and I’m wondering if there is something I can do tonight that may give her some relief. Not to mention I will be going crazy until I get her there not knowing what is wrong with her. So if there is anyone that might know what’s wrong please tell me.
With that being said…each time I’ve asked a question concerning my pups or their mom there has always been this one person who answers me with hateful comments and I just really don’t need that right now. Please keep your hatefullness to yourself. Me and my baby only need to hear from those who might can help us get through the night…

It might be an impacted anal gland but that’s seems very unlikely for being such a young puppy. Possibly a perineal hernia that is pressing on the outside of the rectum and occluding the lumen. It’s hard to say just from a description. Poor little guy – try to keep it clean over the night and make sure she isn’t messing with it. There would be little that could be done during the night other than that until you get her to the vet. Sorry wish I could have been of more help

You might want to try and get something that would help numb it. Maybe a pharmacist could recommend an ointment that would be a temporary relief. I’m sure you could find something over the counter and not very expensive.
That’s what I would do.

Sounds like your poor little pup has a prolapse of some sort. Your vet will probably want to do a small operation to fix it up. I would suggest that the only thing you can really do in the meantime is to keep the dog as calm as possible and make sure that the area is clean and sterile to avoid infection. In such a young puppy it is not advisable to try to give any meds without the vets permission – her little liver and kidneys might not cope. This is something that can be fixed, so try not to worry too much.
