Is hemorrhoid serious when left untreated?

So far the only thing I’m doing is drinking lots of water and eat fiber but it’s been 9 days and my stool has mixed with bright red blood. Could this be just hemorrhoid or something else?

Any bleeding or pain coming from the anus should be checked by a professional to rule out more serious conditions.

Bleeding and/or pain from the anal channel does not only relate to hemorrhoids or piles it can also be caused by much more serious conditions such as cancer or polyps (small growths in the anal channel).

Medical professionals can do an examination of the rectum through a tube. The procedure is known as proctoscopy and is absolutely necessary to rule out cancer or polyps.

I would recommend that you do not fool around with this. Go and see a doctor as soon as possible. If it turns out that you do have hemorrhoids you will find some very helpful advice on the site below and a free report to find out:

Yes, it is serious to be passing bright red blood in your stool. You will become anemic if not treated. Blood loss may also be a indication of a bleeding ulcer so see a doctor right a way. Loss of too much blood can kill you.

Well, using the idea that hemorrhoids are your intestines spilling out of your body, I’d say it’s pretty bad. Get some PPH treatment or something because Hemorrhoids are VERY serious. See the doctor anyway.
