That sounds really feeble. If it is that great a concern go to your doctor. He / she has seen it all before and yes it may be haemorrhoids and he / she will advise you the best course of treatment.

I’m a dude and unfortunately was in a similar situation with hemorrhoids several months ago. It was very painful and at one point it became so big and uncomfortable that I couldn’t even sit down. I ended up going to the clinic and having it removed. It was an all-around miserable and pretty embarrasing situation but it had to be done. The doctor basically had my ass in his face as I sat tummy down on one of those things they use for gynecological exams. Needles and lancing were all involved, but the removal came with some pain relief.

It might be hemorrhoids. Have you recently had bouts of constipation or diarrhea? That can aggravate hemorrhoids. Sitting down too long (on a toilet, at a desk, whatever) can definitely increase the pressure on the muscles down there. Hemorrhoids can be internal or external, external you will physically see and notice the hemorrhoid, it will look "thrombosed" and can range in size from a pea to a ping pong ball. It will be sensitive to the touch, make pooping and wiping painful and it may or may not bleed. If it’s internal, you won’t see it (though it might push out when you push to poo). There might be some blood in your stool or in the toilet. Very unpleasant situation to be in.

Usually you can treat hemorrhoids on your own and they’ll go away after several days to a week. Drink lots of water, try taking a supplement like Senna that helps you poo. Basically, avoid pressure while pooping and don’t sit down too long, spend as much time laying. You can try Preparation-H or some other hemorrhoid cream, its usually a suppository but can make the itching/pain calm down. And make sure to wash your butthole good (with wet tissue or whatever) after every bowel movement. If you aren’t noticing improvement, or the size of the hemerrhoid becomes too large, I’d recommend seeing a doctor. There are plenty of options, some less painful than others.

It’s kind of a gross thing to talk about, but hemorrhoids are incredibly common. Just a little fact I learned about going through this… human beings are the only creatures that get hemorrhoids. They are directly related to our sedentary (sitting) lifestyle, and the fact that we use toilets to use the bathroom, which puts a lot of pressure on our butthole area (popping a squat like our old ancestors did is the healthier, more natural way to defecate but most people don’t do that these days). So reduce the time you’re sitting on a toilet (don’t bring a magazine), have a diet rich in fiber so you can have regular and smooth bowel movements and you can prevent this painful condition from coming back.

Yes, they can occur suddenly. The common causes of H are a low-fiber diet, insufficient water, too much lactic acid from dairy products, or a vitamin E deficiency.

Excessive caffeine or alcohol consumption can also cause hemroids, as both deplete the body of water. Caffeine also produces a temporary spike in blood pressure, which doesn’t help matters.
