Is it normal to have pain when inserting a suppository into your anus?

I have hemorrhoids and have a prescription suppository that I just put in, and it hurts like hell. I can’t sit fully on my bum because that hurts too much. Sorry for the graphic nature of this question.

It shouldn’t really hurt at all. But that tells me you more than likely have been having to push pretty hard to get something to pass as well, right? If so it can be from two things, one not enough water, if you dehydrate your insides go first and and that wil drain out of your intestines which makes it hard to go. If you have been getting enough water then you may have tight muscles in your back. When tight the muscles end up close enough to the nerves for your organs that they can end up touching which makes the organs act up or go into pain. If you have pressure on the nerves to your colon it can be making the colon cramp up and not letting any thing past. To make sure this isn’t part of the problem you have to release the muscles in your back and here’s how to do that:
    Back:
    (do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then reman thisrelaxedd.

well, you need to treat your hemorrhoids 1st.

You can use a cream for treatment.

Are you puttin it in correctly? I remember having hemorrhoids and I hated using suppositories. If you want to try something else, you can use some home remedies.

That’s what I used. I found a blog that shows which remedies to use to treat hemorrhoids at home. I’ll leave a link to the blog below.

    hope this helps…
