Hi Bertha,

I remember that I had the same thoughts and believed that hemorrhoids do not affect younger people.

Good for us there are home treatments that are perfectly natural. There is one though that has been sticking out for quite a while and addresses the very root cause for hemorrhoids.

Just use Preparation-H. It’s one of the few drug store medications which actually works.

The active ingredient is, get this, shark cartilage. It’s sort of like Aspirin in this way, (which comes from a kind of tree bark the Native Americans would chew to kill pain); one of those old natural remedies which survived the arrival of the corporate pharmaceutical industry.

you are better off going to your chemist or supermarket and buying some Preparation H ointment. everybody gets Piles/hemorrhoids at some point in their life. but if you want to have a look at some home remedies for them try this site:

Here in portugal we use some soaps that have "calêndula", i think the translation is "marigold".
It has some anti-viral, anti-genotoxic and anti-inflammatory properties.
I never used, but i see a lot of these products on alternative pharmaceutic stores or homeopatic stores.

Your diet must be all soft foods until everything heals. Try sitting in a pan of warm water after you make a BM. Doing it in warm water is better, make sure you do it in the tub or shower, it’s easier to clean up. Dab with a clean towel or use a hair dryer after washing it clean. Don’t sit on steel or cold hard surfaces.
