Seeing improvements in my hemorrhoids, should I be hopeful or is it just a false sense of hope?

So as some may know, I am dealing with hemorrhoids, and will be seeing my doctor tommorow.

Lately, I had changed my diet. More veggies, less eating out, more water, less soda, etc. Also improved my bowel habits (going when absolutly needed, no reading in the john, using wipes, etc.)

For the past few days, I have noticed significantly less bleeding (as in less streaks of blood on the stool, less wipes needed to clean off blood, etc. SORRY FOR THE DETAILS!) when I have…say a proper bowel movement, like on days where I get the amount of fiber needed and drink mainly water (I try to maintain this every day).

So when I go to the doctor tommorow, should I aim to say that I have changed my habits and perhaps I can heal the hemorrhoid and shrink it without surgery?

P.S Off topic question, but do bananas have some sort of special vitamin or mineral that help with hemorrhoids? I have been eating two bananas a day, and it has helped a lot.

Disgusting isn’t it. I take a natural fiber supplement to keep the stool naturally soft. I also will use store brand supositories if the H is being overly annoying. You could also get a ‘doughnut’ to sit on. Since you are seeing improvement, tell the dr you are going to keep going. Eating any fruit will help. They have fiber. Learn what foods are high in fiber. I used to eat a big bowl of three different kinds of hi fiber cereals every am. I was consuming so much fiber, I thought I was going to start passing wicker furniture. (old bowel joke)

Bananas are known for potassium. We cannot tell you what to ask from your Doctor, but you have taken your health matter into your own hands & made some wise decisions. I applaud you in the efforts you’ve taken so far to improve yourself.

get them removed by your doctor.
Hemmi’s are known to cause colon cancer, you don’t want to go there !
I had a hemmi removed last summer and not to discourage you to do so, but it was a major pain in the azz.It felt like a baby was coming out my azz after the surgery :(
The first two days were a pain in the azz but at least I know I don’t have colon cancer.
