You should at least go and let the doctor look at it. Yes, I know it costs money to do that, but it may be one of the type that has exterior blood vessels and these will never heal by themselves. In order to correct them, you must have surgery (which is outpatient by the way).
If the blood vessels begin to hemmorhage, then you will be in emergency surgery. So do yourself a favor and just let the doc take a look to make sure it isn’t something severe.
If it’s not bleeding excessively, then you don’t particularly need to see a doctor for this, unless, most of the OTC medications being used aren’t working.

it is a good idea to have doctor check you out. the chance for an infection is quite high.the doc can have a look to see if more veins are weak.
