After the hemorrhoid has fallen off, you may experienced minor anal bleeding for several days. This is normal, however if you are experiencing excessive bleeding then you will want to see a doctor immediately.

Rubber band ligation is not a surefire way to remove hemorrhoids, although the success rate is rather high. There is always the possibility that the band could slip off, or simply isn’t tight enough the it doesn’t kill the hemorrhoid. Band ligation can also cause hemorrhoids to become thrombosed, andmay lead to anal fissures.

It’s sad but true that surgery for hemorrhoids is sometimes the only option of people that are in a desperate situation where they have tried just about every other kind of treatment and product that won’t give them any results. Surgery is usually best for people who have internal hemorrhoids. Internal hemorrhoids can be quite stubborn and resistant to conventional treatment methods such as creams or ointments so something more serious might be in order.

Before you even consider surgery to fix your hemorrhoids, you need to do your homework both on the internet and talking to your doctor about it as well. You want to make sure that you understand every single aspect of what is involved because it is an invasive procedure that comes with some risks. One way that you can go about removing your hemorrhoids through surgery is by undergoing a procedure that involves a circular anal dilator. Laser surgery is another option that you may want to consider. The surgeon simply vaporizes the hemorrhoids with a laser.
