I had hemorrhoids after giving birth to my son, so I completely understand…as do many women! You can use witch hazel pads or Preparation H, Tucks pads/cream. If you also have internal hemorrhoids, use Preparation H suppositories. Use stool softeners (1 a day) so you don’t have to strain. You can get a "do-nut" pillow to sit on…basically as it sounds, a pillow with a hole in it, which prevents you from putting pressure on the hemorrhoids when you sit.

My Mom just had some. She went to the doctor. He gave her some suppositories. and told her to take Metamucil TWICE a day, and to sit in a tub of plain hot water for 15 minutes a day for a week. He also told her to drink WAY more liquids.(Tea and coffee and juice count.) Water is the best. You better tell your doctor, so you can get those suppositories. She’s all better now, btw. There’s always Preparation H, if you can’t get to a doctor. Your baby’s doctor should be able to give you those suppositories. -LL
