SURGERY It is painful but wonderful. Yes they come back, but the Dr must have cut the nerves to the old ones. They are a "pain" but not really painful. It was a long time before they came back. I had the surgery in ’75

When I had bad hemrroids I put a preparation h pad in the crack of my bottom and just left it there and chaged it through out the day that soothe the pain and eventually dried the hemrroid out

The suppositories will actually shrink them, but for pain I use Vaginex. It is an ant-itch medicine for females. Sounds crazy, but i think it works better.

U can sit in warm water for at least 15 min after that apply preparation H., if they r really painful u should go see the doctor. The doctor can prescribe u suppositories that contain 25% cortisone and that will shrink the hemorrhoids. After you get better the best way not to have them again is by drinking a lot of water and increasing your fiber intake, avoid spicy food… I hope this will help. This is what did when I had them. I follow this and I don’t get them anymore.

The doctor can have you preferred to see a surgeon, and have them removed.

You probably need to get a Rx from your doctor for something like Anusol HC suppositories to take away the swelling and itching. Until then, sitting in a warm tub of water should soothe the area.

I’m lucky I don’t have them but my sister swears by vitamin E capsules. She puts a tiny hole on the capsule and then squeezes the oil out and puts it on her roids. She thinks it works better than prep h.

Just make sure that you keep them VERY clean. Several times a day pat them with the pads and keep using preparation H. A friend of mine is tough and he wraps a rubber band around then very tightly and they dry up and fall off. I’m just not that brave, I’m afraid. I sit in a very warm tub of water and use the pads and preparation H. Good kuck and God Bless I hope you get relief soon.

Try Rue Care Oil. It helped me when other treatments failed (incl. prep h).

When they’re bad they’re bad! I find they come and go and neither my diet nor the regularity with which I go to the bathroom seem to have much to do with it. As a precaution the doc suggested I use Balneol on the tissue every time I wipe, and this helps a bit. But for a cure I us suppositaries with cortisone – need a prescription – and they generally do the job in a few days. Please accept my sympathy.

Your pharmacist/ chemist can give you a medication that is much stronger than preparation H. It is call Proctosedil (well something like that spelling) in Australia. It works faster. Make sure you get well into the correct orifice (darent say correct word in case answer gets deleted by the YA censors). If that doesn’t work, see your doctor.

First, see your doctor. There are internal hemos but there are external ones too and you don’t want to mess with the external ones (you do need a surgeon to get rid of those). Your doc can advise you how best to deal with the ones you have–sometimes getting them removed is your best bet (and there are several ways of having the internal one eliminated–rubberband, laser, freezing them, surgery). When Prep H no longer works, it’s time to consult your doctor.
