what does a hemorrhoid look like?

It would feel like a bump. Almost like a pea under the skin. More often than not it can be painful.

They are small swollen areas of anal tissue. They look alot like the tip of your finger, a small bulge in the tissue, pink, red to purple in color. They are painful and often itchy. If they are inflamed enough they will eventually bleed.
