What is the best cure for haemorrhoids?

Ive been told a few different things from pushing them back in to cutting them off with a sharp knife. What do you think?

  1. The "best" in one person’s opinion may not be the right one for you. It depends on the condition of your hemorrhoids. Are they internal, prolapsed, external, bleeding? If you’re looking for a "cure", you’re looking for a surgical procedure. If you’re looking for a way to manage them, commercial hemorrhoid ointments and a change in diet and lifestyle may be the best for you. I suggest you speak to your doctor about the best way to approach this.

  3. Ahhh, don’t cut them off! You can bleed to death. The only cure for those is surgery, but doctors usually don’t do surgery unless they are totally unbearable. Peperation H is all I can tell you for relief, or tucks.

  5. Think you should consult a physican, by no means attempt to cut them off, that could do more damage.

  6. If you cut them with a sharp knife you might bleed lots. Fire a powerful laser beam up your bum instead and burn them off!

  11. I have been dealing with this problem for years. The only "cure" for hemmorhoids is to have them removed, either by cutting or banding. But this is no guarantee. They can and will grow back. The best thing to do if suffering with this problem is to take a number of sitz baths, mixing between backing soda and epsom salts. Hemorhoid creams also work well as does the increase of fiber to your diet.

DO NOT USE SUPOSITORIES, these are not affective and are lost with any BM you may have.

  17. I had them and Preparation H is the only thing I found that helped. My hubby went and had them removed from him by the doctor [ and he said that was very painfully ] had to sit on a donut pillow for weeks his butt hurt so bad.
Use the cream and follow the directions completely, less painfully and safer.

  18. Ummm!!! Special creams such as Tucks or Preparation H. Avoid straining when going number 2. Straining causes hemorrhoids which also causes blood vessels to burst in the anus. Hemorrhoids can be removed surgically. You can’t push them back in or cut them yourself. Come on. Go seek professional help from a certified doctor.

  19. you answerd your own question in part.when in the shower soap a finger, push them back in and squeeze.learn how to hold for a while.they will eventualy contract.they are never cut off, surgery ties them or they are cauterised{burnt}self treated mine successfully this way, however they do tend to return and you will have to repeat this again,if you can’t then surgery is the way to go.best time to do it is before you go to sleep.

  20. Surgery is the only cure then eat a high fibre diet and drink plenty of water.Suppositories used long term can cause damage to the wall of your rectum.Cutting them with a sharp knife i think that’s someones idea of a sick joke. They are only amusing to people who have never suffered them.
