One is for the swelling and internal inflammation and the other is for the external redness and itch. I have used them for about 8 years and they control the problem. Of course many people protest the surgery saying there are pills, creams, diets etc. that can help you but if you really, PERMANENTLY want to get rid of them, see a doc and get the surgery. Sorry man, if it makes you feels any better 80% of Americans suffer from it and most doctors are completely mature about it. Good luck.
