What type of fiber do I use for hemorrhoids?
There’s soluble fiber and INsoluble fiber. Some stuff I have bought has more soluble fiber and some stuff has more insoluble fiber. Does anybody know which one is better for hemorrhoids?
(Not that I have ever had hemorrhoids. It’s just a question I want answered for the heck of it.:)

Insoluble fiber is needed in the prevention of hemorrhoids and some types of health issues like colon and rectal cancers. This form of fiber is mostly found in wheat, some types of vegetables and in other whole grain products. Meanwhile, vegetables rich in insoluble fiber include carrots, peas and broccoli. The skins of fruits can also contain insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber, on the other hand, shows great potential in reducing levels of cholesterol in the blood and lessening the rate at which glucose enters the bloodstream. This form of fiber can be found in dried peas, lentils, beans, barley, oat bran, and in other fruits and vegetables.

The whole idea is to prevent constipation. Metamucil, lots of other over the counter fiber sources. Some are actually plastic that absorbs and holds water. You can also use stool softeners.
During WWII, the troops in the desert fighting Rommel lost more men to hemorrhoids than to combat injuries. They got dehydrated. Enough water is essential.

I hope it’s not hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids can be treated by cream. I recommend this site:
