Who to see to get rid of hemorrhoids?
I have health insurance but I don’t have a primary care physician (haven’t needed one yet and I’m not sure how to start looking lol), so who do I see about treatment of hemorrhoids? Do I just go to a hospital? Or should I look up doctors in my health insurance database- if so, then what type of doctor should I talk to?

how bad are they? Most hemorrhoids will go away in a week or so. If you have a lot of them or they are particularly problematic then go see a doctor. You will want to start with a primary care physician so that s/he can determine the best course of action (your insurance most likely requires this) and s/he will either tell you how to treat them or refer you to a specialist.

try some preparation h. you can buy it at your local drugstore or supermarket. warning: do not mistakenly use it as toothpaste.
it’s been said that preparation h is one of the most shoplifted items because people are too embarassed to purchase it.
i just checked their website. there’s a lot of information you can read there. visit http://www.preparationh.com/

Just talk to your family physician about it and he may prescribe something that you can use.

Yeah, def don’t use it as toothpaste, lol. Or Neosporin for that matter. Butt all jokes aside (heh), a Proctologist would be your best bet if the Prep H doesn’t work for you. They are doctors who specialize in the structures and diseases of the anus, rectum, and sigmoid colon. Talk about a shitty job…

Hi There!
My neighbor got rid of her hemorrhoids following some good advice she found on a hemorrhoid blog site. It was written by an expert and gave the pros and cons of all the different treatments available. She used a natural method in the end.
By all means see a professional but you might want to check out the blog as well and then see what you think.
Hope that helps!
Best of luck
Jo
