Will a hemorrhoid go away on its own?

I have a hmorrhoid. I think I am pregnant. How far along are most women before they start getting these? I am using a hemorrhoidal cream right now. Is it going to go away using this. Or do I need to go to the Dr?

The DR. gave me some over the counter medicine that helped it go away. After that it pretty much stopped acting up. I got mine right off the bat in my first month.

I might have had one before too, but that is due to weight.

Don’t use the cream without your doctors permission if you are pregnant, there could be something harmful in it. The cream will only ease discomfort caused by the thing, not treat it. I got them when I was five months pregnant and my Doctor said it would go away after I had my baby, but she’s almost eleven months old now and no such luck.

the dr will tell you to use preperation h, or tucks pads… they should eventually go away on their own.

I never got a hemorrhoid until I was pushing my daughter out. They were incredibly painful and I was perscribed an extra strength cream. I also was instructed to soak cold cloths in witch hazel and apply that to the hemorrhoids. They go away within a few weeks.. but if you are straining really hard during a bowel movement they can come back.
